League Cup - 1987/88

Not a great deal of information with regard to matches and results, although there are a few mentions in the weekly reports of the Essex County Standard that are available through the 'various other' pages for this season.

We do have details of the first round draw ...

As for the final itself, this took place at Stanway Rovers FC between League Champions Brantham and Tey Lion, winners of division two.

The very brief report from the Standard had this to say ...

Brantham Colts were made to battle hard before completing a Colchester Sunday League double at the Stanway Rovers ground at the weekend.

The first division champions were taken to extra time by second division title winners Tey Lion before coming out on top 3-1 with a brace from Hall and a goal from Woodbine.

Lines replied for Tey Lion.
