  15th May 2012

The final predictions have been checked, the results are in and ..... Adam Cheeseworth wins the 'Best Predictor of the Year' for 2011/12.

Details of his victory, and all the other final placings are noe on the predictions page.

Thanks to everyone who took part - we might do it again next season !!

13th May 2012

A super morning for football as the league season came to an end and Botolphs took on AFC Pegasus at Gas Rec for the Charles Hewitt Memorial League Knockout Cup.

And, it was Botolphs who took the silverware and congratulations as they won a very good game of football 3-1.

A full match report is now on, and here is the link to Richard Blaxall's Cup Final Gallery.

Elsewhere the last games of the league season were played, the results are all in and that meant the final positions in the league were resolved, with all games unplayed after today recorded as nil-nil and one point awarded to each side.

You can see how that affects things by looking at the league tables.

PLEASE REMEMBER: These are subject to final confirmation by the league management committee and registration secretary.

The roundup is also on.

The last game of the season next week with the re-arranged Ernie Osborne Challenge Cup taking place at Gas Rec.

6th May 2012

Next Sunday's fixtures are now on ... confirmed refs to follow.

Don't forget, next Sunday is the last league weekend ... and also the last week for the predictions competition too.

It's also the League Cup Final at Gas Rec, Bromley Road, so if you aren't playing please come along and support either Botolphs or AFC Pegasus (or both) as they challenge for the silverware.

6th May 2012

Apologies for the delay, still drying out from this morning as not a lot better weather-wise this week.

AFC Lexden and Bayern Monkwick were in the challenge for silverware with the Wally Castle Invitation Trophy taking place at Rowhedge.

A very good game with both sides trying hard to win it, but it was the Bayerns who came out on top with a 3-1 victory to take the trophy.

You can read the full match report and follow this link to Richard Blaxall's photos from the match.

In the league, six matches got played, all the results are in and the tables are up to date.

The roundup is also on.

It's the final week for league matches next Sunday ... so the confirmed fixtures for then will be on a little later.

29th April 2012

Well, it's good weather for ducks !!

Unfortunately almost everything was drowned out this morning with only three matches making it through the rain. The results are in, the league tables are up to date and the roundup is on.

We're working on rearranging the Ernie Osborne Challenge Cup Final for another date, more information when that's done.

Next Sunday's fixtures are also on ... refs to follow.

23rd April 2012

Next week's fixtures are now on, with refs, as are some photos of the presentations at yesterday's cup final, courtesy of Les Bond.

22nd April 2012

Congratulations first off to Botolphs as they won the John Fowler Memorial Cup coming from behind to beat AFC Pegasus at Gas Rec, Bromley Road this morning.

Read the match report.

More congratulations, this time for Bayern Monkwick who beat Corecalona to go into the final of the Wally Castle Invitational Trophy.

Elsewhere it was league action, all the results are in, the tables are up to date and the roundup is on.

Fixtures for next week will be on a bit later - and don't forget the Ernie Osborne Challenge Cup Final next week out at Tiptree.

16th April 2012

The match report for yesterday's Essex Sunday Junior Trophy Final is now on the Essex FA website.

15th April 2012

Next Sunday's fixtures are now on.

15th April 2012

The match report and the presentation photos courtesy of Richard Blaxall are now on.

There are LOTS more photos of the final available at Richard's online gallery.

For those who may be interested, Richard is offering ALL of today's match photos as jpeg images on a CD for the sum of only £50.00, leaving you free to use them as you wish (facebook, printing, email etc) , contact him direct

15th April 2012

A great morning's football with two finals taking place. Commiserations to AFC Colchester who went down 0-3 in the Essex Sunday Junior Trophy to The Bull of Corringham at Burnham Ramblers FC.

There's a little bit about their match in our roundup and I will post a link to the official match report from Essex FA when I have it.

Back in Colchester, AFC Pegasus Res took the Terry Martin Trophy up at Gas Rec, Bromley Road after extra time.

Again a match report will be on soon (courtesy of Les Bond), when I've had a chance to write it up !!

All the results from today are in and the tables are up to date.

Fixtures for next week will be on a little later - and don't forget it's the John Fowler Final next week too.
