The season opener, the Arthur Boswell Cup took place on Sunday at the home of Holland FC and the Colchester Sunday League were pleased to greet Mr Arthur Boswell Jr as their guest for the match.
Mr Boswell attends this match every season to present the trophies and select his man of the match.
Unfortunately there was limited capacity for members of the league management committee to attend so sadly there isn’t much of a match report.
The game took place between league cup winners Toosey and Roman Rovers as runners-up in last season’s Premier Division but it was Toosey who came out on top with a convincing 5-0 victory.
On target for Toosey were George Russell (2) and one each for Toby Harms, Harvey Evans & James Webb.
